Kaun Banega Crorepati 16

The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 began with rollover contestant Prashant Jamdade from Sangli, Maharashtra, who continued his impressive run on the hot seat. Prashant, in his introduction video, shared an emotional story about his grandfather, who played a significant role in his life. His grandfather had advised him not to depend on a wheelchair or crutches, warning that relying on them would make him dependent for life. This wisdom deeply influenced Prashant's determination to live independently despite his physical challenges. Host Amitabh Bachchan praised Prashant for his positive attitude, noting how he always maintained a smile regardless of the obstacles he faced.

As the game resumed, Big B presented the first question of the day for Rs 10,000: Which of these terms refers to the shutting of the electricity supply of an area to mitigate its shortage? Prashant confidently selected Option D) Load shedding, which was the correct answer.

Moving ahead, Prashant tackled the Super Sawal: In which year did India become a republic, when the Constitution came into effect? He answered correctly and earned the 'Dugnastraa' lifeline. He used this superpower for the Rs 80,000 question: The Mumbai-Pune Expressway is named after which former Chief Minister of Maharashtra? After carefully considering the options, he selected Option D) Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, which was the right answer, winning him Rs 80,000.

Prashant shared that this was his first real income, making the moment particularly special. Despite completing his education, he had struggled to find employment due to his physical condition, while many of his classmates had progressed in their careers. He revealed his plans to use the prize money for his leg treatment, contribute to his sister's wedding, and support his younger brother's education.

The game continued with a Rs 1,60,000 question: Which Indian state is known for the traditional craft of Batto Bai dolls? Unsure of the answer, Prashant used the Audience Poll lifeline and correctly chose Option C) Madhya Pradesh.

Prashant swiftly answered the Rs 3,20,000 question: In the First Battle of Panipat, what caused Ibrahim Lodi's elephants to be scared and trample his own army? He confidently selected Option D) Cannon Fire, which was correct.

In the next round, Prashant played 'Super Sandook' and answered nine questions correctly, earning Rs 90,000. He used his earnings to revive his 'Audience Poll' lifeline, but narrowly missed out on dining with Amitabh Bachchan, which required answering all 10 questions correctly.

For the Rs 6,40,000 question, Prashant used his Audience Poll lifeline again: Which of these names refers to the blue sheep of the Himalayas? He went with the audience's suggestion and selected Option D) Bharal, winning the amount.

The Rs 12,50,000 question followed: In 1915, Mahatma Gandhi returned to India at Apollo Bunder in Mumbai on board which ship? Prashant correctly answered Option C) SS Arabia.

As the game reached the Rs 25,00,000 mark, Amitabh Bachchan asked: Whose death prompted Indira Gandhi to cut short her visit to the funeral of Leonid Brezhnev, the leader of the USSR? Prashant used his 'Video Call A Friend' lifeline, but when that didn’t help, he opted for 'Double Dip'. His first answer, Option A) Shri Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, was incorrect. However, his second choice, Option D) Acharya Vinoba Bhave, was correct, earning him Rs 25,00,000.

Unsure of the answer, Prashant decided to quit the game. Before leaving, he took a guess and selected Option D) Manchester United, but the correct answer was Option A) Chelsea.
