
Actress Jennifer Runyon, popularly for her roles in Ghostbusters and the television sitcom Charles in Charge, has passed away at the age of 65.
The actress took her last breath on March 6, following a brief battle with cancer. Her close friend, actress Erin Murphy, confirmed the news of her death along with an emotional tribute on Facebook, remembering their long-standing friendship.
Erin mourned her demise and recalled her bond with Jennifer, describing her as someone truly special. She wrote, "So sad to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer."
"Some people you just know you'll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady. I'll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children," Murphy added.
Jennifer Runyon began her acting career in the early 1980s. She made her feature film debut in the 1980 slasher movie To All a Good Night. Jennifer had built a steady career in films and television shows.
In 1984, she appeared in supporting roles in the comedy films Up the Creek and Ghostbusters, both of which helped her gain wider recognition among audiences.
That same year, Runyon also appeared on television as Gwendolyn Pierce in the first season of the sitcom Charles in Charge, a role that further cemented her presence in the entertainment industry.
Later in her career, she portrayed Cindy Brady in the 1988 television movie A Very Brady Christmas. The same year proved to be a busy one for the actress, as she also starred in the film The In Crowd and appeared in the pilot episode of the science-fiction series Quantum Leap.
Jennifer Runyon continued to take on various roles in both film and television. She appeared in the comedy movie 18 Again! and made guest appearances on several well-known TV series, including Murder, She Wrote, A Man Called Sarge and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Runyon was born on April 1, 1960, in Chicago.
In her personal life, Jennifer married Todd Corman in 1991. Corman worked as a college basketball coach and was also involved in film and television production during the sports off-season. Together, the couple had two children, a son named Wyatt and a daughter named Bayley.
