In the recently surfaced video, young Harry Potter, played by 11-year-old Dominic McLaughlin, is seen donning his classic Hogwarts uniform complete with round glasses—an image instantly transporting fans back to the magical world they know and love. Beside him, towering as always, is Hagrid, portrayed by actor Nick Frost. The pair were spotted crossing a road during filming, a simple yet nostalgic scene that quickly sent Potterheads into a frenzy across social media.

This marks the first on-set sighting of the duo who, in the books and films, share one of the most heartwarming bonds. From delivering Harry’s Hogwarts letter to guiding him into the wizarding world, Hagrid plays an irreplaceable role in the boy wizard’s journey. Seeing the two characters together again in fresh portrayals has only intensified the anticipation surrounding the series.

Reports suggest that HBO’s Harry Potter will span eight seasons, with each season dedicated to one book in the saga. The production is expected to take nearly a decade to complete, with the first season likely premiering in late 2026 or early 2027 on HBO and HBO Max. Alongside Dominic McLaughlin and Nick Frost, the show will introduce Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Staunton as Hermione Granger. According to sources, over 30,000 auditions were held to find the right actors for these iconic roles.

The sneak peek has reassured fans that the series aims to stay faithful to Rowling’s world while offering fresh depth through its episodic format. While comparisons with the original films are inevitable, the first glimpse of Harry and Hagrid walking side by side has already ignited hope that this new retelling could capture the magic all over again.

For now, Potterheads will have to wait patiently—but the journey back to Hogwarts has officially begun.
