Daniel Radcliffe sends sweet letter to new Harry Potter Dominic McLaughlin: "I hope you have the best time"

Daniel Radcliffe supports new Harry Potter

Harry Potter franchise star Daniel Radcliffe has recently got in touch with Dominic McLaughlin, the young actor playing the iconic role.

Daniel recently appeared on Good Morning America and revealed that he has sent a message to the young Harry Potter, merely intended as a modest show of support as HBO proceeds with its long-term television revival of the "Harry Potter" series.

He also made it clear that he didn't think McLaughlin owed him any communication, but since he knew some of the individuals involved, he chose to send a letter anyway.

However, he also received a reply from McLaughlin, which Daniel described as "a very sweet note." Daniel also noted that his only goal was to wish the new Harry well before politely leaving.

Daniel said, “I don’t want to be a specter in the life of these children. I just wanted to write to him to say, ‘I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did.”

The actor also recalled how young he was when he started filming in 2001, when he saw early pictures of the young cast.

He said, “I just look at them and say, ‘Oh, it’s crazy I was doing that at that age,’” adding that he hopes the new generation is enjoying their experience on set.

Alastair Stout plays Ron, Arabella Stanton plays Hermione, and Dominic McLaughlin leads the new group. Lox Pratt (Draco Malfoy), Amos Kitson (Dudley Dursley), Leo Earley (Seamus Finnigan), Rory Wilmot (Neville Longbottom), and Alessia Leoni (Parvati Patil) are among the other cast members.

According to a July BBC report, Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden has reportedly set up a temporary school facility to support the young actors. Production is anticipated to last for several years because each season is an adaptation of one of J.K. Rowling's books.

The 'Harry Potter' television series is scheduled to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
