Bollywood star Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja put an end to persistent rumours of their divorce by celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with their family recently. The couple, who have made headlines due to rumours of their alleged separation and divorce, were spotted on Thursday enjoying the Ganesh Visarjan rituals with son Yashvardhan.
As his parents joined in by singing the Ganesh aarti, Yashvardhan was seen performing the last aarti before the immersion in one of the paparazzi-shared videos on Instagram.
In a different video, the family was seen enthusiastically chanting "Ganpati Bappa Morya" as they left for the Visarjan. As Govinda stood next to Yashvardhan, who was carrying the idol of Lord Ganesha, Sunita joined in the celebration by dancing.
Sunita posted tidbits of the festivities on Instagram with a series of photos from their Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. She added a red heart and folded hands emoji to the heartfelt yet straightforward caption, "Ganpati Bappa Morya." She posed with Govinda in front of Lord Ganesha's idol in one photo, and with her mother, actress Manisha Koirala, and their son Yashvardhan in another.
Amidst the ongoing buzz about her relationship, Sunita addressed the speculation directly while speaking to the media. She firmly dismissed the divorce rumours, saying, “You guys have come for Ganpati or the controversy? Hasn’t the media been slapped in the face by seeing us together so close? If there was something off, there would have been distances. No power can separate us, neither God nor satan. They say, ‘My husband is mine,’ likewise, ‘My Govinda is mine.’ It’s my humble request to everyone to not believe the rumours. Don’t believe anything unless you hear it from us.”
