Netflix has dropped the trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated film Frankenstein, featuring Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac. Released on October 1, the trailer offers a closer look at the film’s main characters and their chilling story.

Netflix has released the much-anticipated trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s much-anticipated film Frankenstein, starring Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi.

The trailer, unveiled on October 1, gives viewers a closer look at the characters played by Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac.

The narrative centres on Isaac's character, Victor von Frankenstein, a brilliant but conceited scientist who defies nature by creating a monster, played by Elordi. His audacious experiment goes horribly wrong, with disastrous results for both him and the world around him.

Taking to Instagram, Netflix shared the official trailer along with the caption, "Face your monsters.
Watch Frankenstein, out 7 November, only on Netflix."

The post also revealed that Frankenstein will be streaming on Netflix from November 7.

In addition to showcasing Jacob's eerie metamorphosis into the resurrected creature, the trailer provides new looks at Isaac as Victor and Mia Goth as Victor's future bride, Elizabeth Lavenza.

It also highlights the film's expansive, strikingly beautiful locations, which include a glittering ballroom party and a ship stranded in icy waters.

Based on Mary Shelley’s iconic novel, Frankenstein has been a passion project for del Toro, who has been working on this adaptation for more than a decade. The official synopsis describes it as, “Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro reimagines Mary Shelley’s classic tale of a brilliant scientist and the creature his monstrous ambition brings to life.”

Netflix finally approved the film, despite del Toro's decades-long development, and it is now scheduled for release. Frankenstein will debut on Netflix on November 7 after a brief run of award-qualifying screenings in theatres beginning October 17.
