Television actor Dipika Kakar, who recently underwent a critical surgery for a liver tumour, was seen smiling and in high spirits as she reunited with her Sasural Simar Ka co-actors Shweta Sinha and Snehal Sahay.

Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, posted a touching vlog on his YouTube channel that documented the emotional reunion.

Shweta and Snehal, who had played Dipika's on-screen sisters-in-law in the venerable daily soap opera, joined Shoaib and Dipika in the video. During Dipika's recuperation, the friends were spotted laughing and chatting about their time spent together on set.

Reflecting on the nostalgic gathering, Shoaib remarked in Hindi, “It felt like we were back in our Sasural Simar Ka days, sitting in the vanity and chatting about life.” The sentiment clearly resonated with fans of the show, who flooded the comments with well wishes for Dipika’s recovery.

Shweta and Snehal made it clear that their bond with Dipika goes beyond the screen. The actresses offered their unwavering support, telling Dipika that she is more than a colleague — she is family. They encouraged her to lean on them whenever needed, reinforcing the strong relationships formed off-camera during their time on the show.

Dipika was diagnosed with a liver tumour in May 2025. In early June, she underwent a demanding 14-hour surgery to remove the tumour, which was later confirmed to be stage 2 liver cancer. According to Shoaib, who has kept fans updated throughout her health journey, the operation also involved the removal of her gall bladder and part of her liver.

Dipika and Shoaib’s love story began on the set of Sasural Simar Ka, where they first met and eventually fell in love. The couple tied the knot on 22 February 2018 in Bhopal, and became parents to their first child, a baby boy named Ruhaan, in 2023.

The recent reunion and the outpouring of love from her co-stars and fans alike appear to be a source of strength for Dipika as she continues her recovery journey.
