Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava to soon hit streaming platform

Vicky Kaushal starrer blockbuster Chhaava is currently dominating the Indian Box office. The film’s success led to the release of the film in Telugu. Directed by Laxman Uthekar, Chhaava has grossed over Rs 691 crores worldwide. However, now the film is all set to break the OTT records.

According to reports, Chhaava will soon release on OTT and the epic historical drama is speculated to release on April 11 on Netflix.

However, the makers are yet to officially confirm the reports.

Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava is breaking a new box office record every day. Recently, the film surpassed the lifetime collection of Gadar 2, which had made Rs 686 crore globally.

The film has also recorded the second-highest fourth-weekend collection in Bollywood history, after Pushpa 2. It earned Rs 28.43 crore in its fourth weekend, showing its strong hold at the box office despite competition. The film now aims to cross the Rs 700 crore mark soon.

Vicky Kaushal stars as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna portrays Maharani Yesubai in Chhaava. Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The film also features cast members including Divya Dutta and Ashutosh Rana.

For the unaware, the film explores the story of the Marathas' brave fight against the Mughal Empire, centered around Sambhaji, the son of Shivaji. After Aurangzeb launches a massive attack, Sambhaji valiantly resists, facing betrayals and brutal imprisonment. He refused to surrender and started a movement that ultimately led to the downfall of the Mughal Empire and the rise of Maratha self-rule.
