Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava crosses Rs 600 mark at box office, becomes the highest-grossing film in its third week

Since its release on February 14, Chhaava has been a massive success, amassing an impressive Rs 637 crore worldwide.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's historical epic Chhaava continues to soar at the box office, achieving new milestones each week. The film has now set a remarkable record by becoming the highest-grossing film in its third weekend, surpassing the Hindi collections of Pushpa 2, Stree 2, and Baahubali 2.

Since its release on February 14, Chhaava has been a massive success, amassing an impressive Rs 637 crore worldwide. In India alone, the film has garnered a staggering Rs 556.44 crore GBOC, solidifying its place as a box office juggernaut.

Maddock Films shared an Instagram Story as the announced the feat and mentioning that the film has earned Rs 637 crore worldwide as Gross box office collection withing 17 days from release.

According to Sacnilk, Chhaava continued its strong box office run, earning approximately Rs 24.25 crore India net across all languages on its seventeenth day. The film’s impressive performance has been fueled by steady audience interest and packed screenings.

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Chhaava recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 37.04%, reflecting consistent viewer turnout throughout the day. The morning shows saw a 28.95% occupancy, which significantly increased during the afternoon to 43.85%. The evening shows witnessed the highest occupancy at 46.45%, before dipping slightly to 28.90% for the night screenings.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, the film stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale  and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb.

Owing to overwhelming demand, the makers of Chhaava have announced its Telugu release, set for March 7, 2025. To mark the occasion, the Telugu trailer was unveiled on Monday. Maddock Films shared the trailer, accompanied by a caption expressing their excitement for the film’s wider reach.
