BTS Jimin receives second certification

BTS' Jimin has continued to cement his position as a formidable solo artist, with his track "Like Crazy" achieving a significant milestone.

Recently, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) officially awarded the song silver certification in the United Kingdom, making it Jimin’s second solo single to reach this prestigious achievement.

In line with the BPI’s certification standards, a single is granted silver certification when it accumulates 200,000 units in combined sales and streams. This recognition not only underscores the commercial success of "Like Crazy" but also highlights Jimin's expanding influence as a solo artist in international markets, particularly in the UK.

"Like Crazy," the title track of Jimin's debut solo album FACE, has resonated deeply with listeners around the world. Its atmospheric production, emotional vulnerability, and introspective lyrics tackle themes of loneliness, identity, and escapism.

The song swiftly charted high across global platforms and now holds another significant accolade in its list of achievements.

This marks not the first time Jimin has reached a milestone in the UK. His debut solo single "Who" also earned silver certification, placing him among the select few Korean soloists to achieve such recognition. With "Like Crazy" now joining the ranks, Jimin becomes an even rarer K-pop artist—one with two BRIT silver-certified singles under his name, further elevating his global standing.

Following the announcement, fans, known as ARMYs, took to social media to celebrate Jimin’s success, sharing messages of support, fan art, and video clips of his performances.

Many fans noted how impressive it is for a non-English song to receive such recognition in an English-dominated market, proving the far-reaching impact of Jimin’s music and message.

Although BTS members are currently on their mandatory military service, each continues to make waves in their individual careers.

Jimin’s success as a solo artist stands as a testament to his enduring global appeal, and with this momentum, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for him after his service. With such achievements already under his belt, it’s clear that Jimin’s journey is only just beginning.
