The event, organized by Uncle N Me LLC and inspired by Netflix’s popular show Bridgerton turned into a major disappointment for fans who paid hundreds of dollars to attend what they expected to be an elegant and immersive experience. However, attendees were quick to voice their outrage on social media, calling the event a "scam."

The ball was promoted as a high-end affair, promising an evening filled with “sophistication, grace, and historical charm,” complete with a costume contest, a $2,000 prize for the best-dressed guest, classical music, and a performance reminiscent of the show. Additionally, guests were promised a royal-style dinner, valet service, and plenty of entertainment. But upon arriving, fans found none of these features present.

Attendees who had dressed in extravagant ball gowns were greeted by a lackluster venue that was in stark contrast to the luxurious setting they had imagined. Complaints ranged from poorly prepared, undercooked food to shabby decor and a lone violinist playing in a corner of the room without accompaniment. Social media posts showed photos and videos of guests sitting cross-legged on the floor out of boredom, with many scrolling through their phones rather than enjoying the event.

Adding to the frustration was the lack of seating and proper decor. Some guests mentioned that the event featured backdrops that looked like they came from a "dollar store" rather than the lavish settings expected. Even though the ball was billed as a theatrical experience inspired by the Regency era depicted in Bridgerton, the reality was anything but elegant.

Many fans had spent as much as $250 to $300 for packages that promised a full experience, including valet service, a three-course dinner, and music. Some of the ticket buyers opted for the “Duke and Duchess” package, which further elevated the expectations of a premium experience. But instead of a regal atmosphere, attendees were served subpar food, with many reporting that the evening was not only disappointing but outright unenjoyable.

In response to the widespread criticism, Uncle N Me LLC, the event organizer, issued a public apology, taking “full responsibility and accountability” for the disaster. They explained that their goal was to create a magical experience, but logistical and organizational challenges had led to the unsatisfactory outcome. They also promised to review options for resolving the issues, though they did not confirm whether or not refunds would be provided.

The venue for the event, Harmonie Club, also distanced itself from the fiasco, releasing a statement that clarified its role. According to the venue owners, Harmonie Club is a new facility in Detroit’s Paradise Valley area and is available for private or public events. However, they stressed that they had no direct affiliation with the promoters of the *Bridgerton* ball and were not involved in its planning or programming. Their involvement, they stated, was limited to providing the space and back-of-house support, while all event-related decisions were left to the lessees.

Despite the apologies from the organizers, many fans remained frustrated, with some questioning why such an event was poorly executed, especially considering the high ticket prices. Social media was flooded with complaints from attendees who felt cheated out of their money and their time. One fan shared an image of herself sitting on the floor of the venue, noting that she had paid $300 to attend the event only to be met with a dismal experience.

The ball's failure is now being dubbed a cautionary tale about the risks of themed events based on popular media franchises. While many fans eagerly attend these types of immersive experiences in hopes of reliving their favorite moments from a show or movie, the ball serves as a reminder that not all such events deliver on their promises.

As for next steps, Uncle N Me LLC indicated they were reviewing feedback and would soon communicate their plans to rectify the situation. They expressed gratitude for the “understanding and loyalty” of attendees but stopped short of offering concrete solutions. For now, fans are left wondering if they will receive any form of compensation or if the event will simply be written off as a costly lesson in unmet expectations.
