BORDER 2 has begun its theatrical journey on a confident note, with overseas advance bookings opening to strong early traction. The response from international markets has been encouraging, clearly signalling heightened audience interest ahead of the film’s worldwide release.
Trade sources indicate that Australia has emerged as a standout territory in the early phase, recording particularly healthy advance ticket sales. Positive momentum is also being reported from key international markets such as Germany and the United States, where the film has generated steady interest among the Indian diaspora and cinema-goers drawn to large-scale patriotic dramas.
Within the trade, overseas advance trends are often seen as a reliable barometer for domestic performance. A strong start abroad typically reflects underlying buzz that translates into solid demand in India. Mirroring this pattern, BORDER 2 has now begun rolling out its India advance bookings in a phased manner.

Currently, around 40 percent of cinemas across the country have opened bookings. At this stage, availability remains limited, with most theatres offering just one or two screens for advance sales. This controlled rollout is expected to expand rapidly over the next 24 hours as distributors unlock additional screens and show timings.
Select multiplex chains have already gone live with advance bookings, and the early response has been promising. At PVR INOX alone, over 2,000 tickets for Day 1 have already been sold, indicating growing demand even before the full booking window opens. Trade analysts expect a noticeable spike in ticket sales once bookings open across all major circuits and mass belts from tomorrow.
BORDER 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. The film is backed by a formidable production team comprising Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and is directed by Anurag Singh. Positioned as a large-scale patriotic spectacle rooted in courage and sacrifice, the film aims to build on the legacy of the iconic Border.
With strong overseas traction and India bookings steadily gathering pace, BORDER 2 is set to storm cinemas worldwide on January 23, 2026.
