During an interview with Usha Kakade Productions, the Bollywood wife recalled that not just Salman, but his entire family has been supportive of her. During her breakup with Sohail, the Sultan actor also told her that, divorced or not, she will always be the mother of the kids. “The family has stood by me in so many moments,” exclaimed Seema, adding that even when she and Sohail used to fight, the Khans would often take her side.

In a heartfelt interview with Usha Kakade Productions, Seema Sajdeh has reflected on the emotional journey surrounding her amicable divorce from Sohail Khan, and the steadfast support she received from the Khan family, including superstar Salman Khan. The pair who wed in 1998 and share two sons, Nirvan and Yohan, parted ways in 2022 after 24 years of marriage.

While many public separations are marked by acrimony, Seema described hers as respectful and grounded in mutual growth.  Seema emphasised that she never felt alone. Not only did Salman Khan offer emotional encouragement, but the larger Khan family also stood by her during tough moments.

“The family has stood by me in so many moments,” exclaimed Seema. She said that as she and Sohail grew older, their individual paths and priorities shifted. She also quoted Salman reassuring her that, “you will always remain the mother of these kids” regardless of marital status. “They are always there. I may be divorced, but my children are half Khan and half Sajdeh – so through them, this will always be my family,” highlighted Seema.

Even now, years after the divorce, Seema says she still feels free to reach out to members of the Khan family when needed, describing them as her own.

Ultimately, they realised they were better suited as friends and co-parents than life partners, and chose a peaceful separation that preserved family bonds rather than fractured them. “We separated amicably, but only as husband and wife. To date, we are a family. He is the father of my children, and that can never change,” she said.
