Veteran Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, best known for co-writing iconic films such as Sholay and Deewar, has shown encouraging signs of recovery after being hospitalised earlier this month, actress Daisy Shah confirmed on Wednesday.
Daisy, who acted with Salman Khan in Jai Ho, shared a health update saying that Salim Khan is now stable and out of danger following a medical procedure.
In an interview with Filmygyan, Daisy revealed that she has been in constant touch with Salman's family. The actress revealed that she couldn't meet Salim Khan in the hospital. However, she assured that he is doing fine. "But I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success and he is under observation, but he is out of danger," she revealed.
Salim Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on February 17, 2026, after suffering a minor brain haemorrhage that prompted immediate medical attention. Following the incident, he underwent a surgical intervention and was placed under close observation in the intensive care unit. His condition had prompted concern from fans and colleagues across the film industry.
Multiple Bollywood personalities have visited Khan in recent days to show their support, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh, underscoring the industry’s solidarity during his recovery.
Despite the positive update, the Khan family has urged that Salim Khan’s health remain a private matter after a hospital bulletin was previously released without their consent, which reportedly upset them. They requested that no further medical updates be shared publicly without family approval to respect their privacy.

"Health is a private matter. Ideally, no updates should be shared with the media and any communication should be left entirely to the family, if and when they choose to address fans and well-wishers," a source close to the family revealed.
Salim Khan, who recently turned 90, remains under medical care, and his loved ones and fans alike are hopeful for a continued and steady recovery.
