Ranveer Singh, who is riding on the success of the blockbuster Dhurandhar, visited Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai today to meet veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, who was hospitalised due to a blood pressure issue.

The actor was spotted outside the hospital. He also visited Salman Khan’s father on Friday afternoon. Ranveer was seen driving to the hospital in a video that went viral on social media.

However, Ranveer is not the only actor who visited the veteran screenwriter in the hospital. Previously, Javed Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt, and Shilpa Shetty also went to the Lilavati Hospital to see how Salim Khan was doing.

Aamir Khan and his girlfriend, Gauri, had also gone to the hospital on Thursday night.

Shah Rukh Khan also visited the hospital to meet Salim Khan and support Salman Khan in the hard times.

For the unversed, Salim Khan was hospitalised on February 17 and was later put on a ventilator. The hospital’s doctor, Jalil Parkar, provided an update on the legendary screenwriter's health on Wednesday, confirming that Salim Khan had experienced a slight brain haemorrhage, which was followed by a standard surgery.

The doctor told the media, “He was having jerks and his blood pressure was high. We treated him. We had to put him on a ventilator so that he would not worsen. It wasn’t because he was critical. We did the investigations that were required. We have done a small procedure on him. I will not go into its details. He is fine. He is stable. He has been shifted to the ICU. He is doing quite well. Age is a factor, I understand. That is why the process of recovery will take time.”

However, later the reports claimed that Salman Khan was "displeased" with the doctors at Lilavati Hospital and had requested that they refrain from informing the media about Salim Khan's health. The family reportedly wishes to keep Salim Khan private and steer clear of any rumours about him.
