Actor Preity Zinta watched the India vs. New Zealand T20 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. She sat with model-actor Iulia Vantur and businessman Akash Ambani.
The actress shared her reaction to the match on Instagram on Monday. The video featured the pre-match performances, the stadium crowd, the two cricket teams after the game, and the Indian team's winning highlights. Preity also posted a picture of herself and Iulia enjoying the match while seated close to one other in the video.
The video also showed the actress celebrating the win and cheering for Team India.
Sharing the video, she penned in the caption, "It’s always special to see a World Cup final live in the stadium & be on the winning side (victory symbol emoji). What a game, what a team & what a feeling seeing #TeamIndia win their 3rd ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title (trophy emojis). Of course, none of us could keep calm (fire and National Flag emojis) #Ting #Champions #icct20worldcup2026."
India became the first team to win the T20 World Cup at home, the first to win the trophy three times (2007, 2024, and 2026), and the first to win consecutive titles. India scored 255 runs in all during the game. In contrast, New Zealand was bowled out for 159.
Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were among the celebs who supported India after their victory.
On the work front, Preity is all set to make her comeback in Bollywood with Rajkumar Santoshi's directorial Lahore 1947. The upcoming film marks an important milestone for Preity as she returns to the silver screen after a hiatus. Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Karan Deol are also part of the movie.
Preity was last seen with Sunny Deol in Bhaiaji Superhit, which released in 2018. She also featured in a small role in the ABC series Fresh Off The Boat in one episode.
