Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has publicly praised Rani Mukerji and her performance in Mardaani 3, calling her a “goddess of acting” as the action-thriller makes waves at the box office following its release on January 30, 2026.

Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram story to encourage fans to watch the film, writing, “Go watch the ‘goddess’ of acting in her most powerful avatar. I saw it. I loved it. Don’t miss it!” which quickly went viral on social media.

The film, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Abhiraj Minawala, sees Rani reprise her role as SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy, a fierce and determined police officer confronting a new criminal underworld threat. Mardaani 3 marks another intense chapter in the franchise, blending social relevance with high-octane drama and showcasing Mukerji’s strong screen presence.

Before Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan also extended his love and support to Rani. In a post on X, the superstar wrote, "Just from the heart.to my Rani ‘Mardaani’ all my best wishes. I am sure you will be feisty, strong & compassionate in Mardaani 3 like u are in the real world too. @yrf #Mardaani3 #RaniMukerji."

On its opening day, Mardaani 3 recorded a steady box office performance, collecting approximately Rs 4 crore net across India according to early estimates from industry trackers — a solid start for a female-led thriller in the competitive cinema landscape.

While some reports describe the numbers as modest compared to larger commercial releases, the film’s performance is being celebrated as one of Rani’s strongest openings in years and a commendable achievement for a serious narrative focused on social issues.

Audiences and critics alike have praised Rani’s performance, with many highlighting her commanding portrayal of the lead character — a signature of the Mardaani series since its inception. Fans on social media have celebrated the film’s message and Mukerji’s intense performance, often sharing enthusiastic reviews and reactions.
