Anya Singh comes out in defence of Aryan Khan after netizens said he hasn’t directed The Bads of Bollywood: "He was always smiling and so focused"

Actress Anya Singh, one of the lead actors in the show, recently denied all rumours and shed light on all the positive reactions that Aryan has been receiving for The Bads of Bollywood.

Aryan Khan made his directorial debut with the much-awaited web series The Bads of Bollywood, which gained a lot of attention since its premiere on Netflix on September 18, 2025.

However, Aryan has also been receiving a lot of backlash as netizens are doubting if he actually made the film due to the scale and technical perfection of the show.

Actress Anya Singh, one of the lead actors in the show, recently denied all rumours and shed light on all the positive reactions that Aryan has been receiving for The Bads of Bollywood.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Anya said, " I feel people just want an opportunity to bring another person down."

She also emphasised Aryan's dedication and sincerity toward the show. "That's why I say he is so deserving of every good thing everyone is saying about him. He has worked really hard on this project. From 7 in the morning to 11 PM, his energy never dropped. You never saw him sigh. He was always smiling and so focused," Anya added.

Anya then mentioned that Aryan could have worked with veteran technicians, but he chose to collaborate with his team of young writers and DOPs instead, noting that he is a young man who stayed true to his vision.

She stated, "It was very brave of him to do this. He knew there'd be conversations and chatter, but he did not question his vision at any point. I have a lot of respect for how he has stood by his own thoughts."
