Junaid Khan has made a roaring debut in Bollywood with Maharaj. The actor has been garnering immense love for his brilliant performance in the film. The success of the film indeed calls for a party, and for the occasion, his parents, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, will be hosting an intimate success bash at Aamir Khan Productions office in Bandra to celebrate Junaid's entry into the industry.
A source revealed, "The bash will be attended by Junaid's friends, and the cast and crew of his next few movies. He has already started shooting for the Advait Chandan-helmed romantic comedy with Khushi Kapoor, and Pritam Pyaare. He is expected to wrap up the rom com soon."
The success bash will be a private affair and will be attended by close family friends. A guest, invited shared, "Junaid was certain that he wanted to debut on his own merit. Reena and Aamir let him forge his own path. Today, they want to share their happiness with their near and dear ones."
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra under the Yash Raj Films banner, Maharaj is trending on Netflix.
In an exclusive interview with MoneyControl, Junaid Khan had revealed to us that his father Aamir Khan loved the movie and that his entire family was there to cheer for him on the first day of his shoot.
He further said that his mother Reena Dutta is a tougher audience to impress. And that he doesn't always discuss his projects with his dad.
"He liked the film, and he liked the performance as well. He didn't really say specifically. But when he watches something, he watches it as an audience and watches it to enjoy. Unless you ask him something very specifically, he will not necessarily have any comment on the film."
Junaid says he doesn't usually discuss his projects, nor does he 'necessarily check' with his father or any family member before signing any film.
"No, not usually. Maharaj (Aamir) had also heard the script. Adi sir wanted him to, and he liked it as well. I don't necessarily check with him before signing on for the films. He liked it. He is not the kind of person who will give unsolicited advice," said Junaid.
"She was very happy; when she watched the film, she really liked it. She is, in fact, a much tougher audience to please than my father. But she really liked the film; she was there on the first day of the shoot with my mom, my father, and my grandparents. My two grandmothers were there; they really wanted to be. It was good fun."
