Jalgaon, nestled within the vibrant political landscape of Maharashtra, is gearing up for yet another crucial moment in its democratic journey as it prepares to cast its votes during the third phase of the General Elections scheduled for 13 May 2024. Unmesh Bhaiyyasaheb Patil, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) representing the BJP, secured a remarkable victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the Jalgaon constituency, commanding a staggering lead. His triumph, with a resounding margin of 411,617 votes, not only underscored his individual popularity but also reflected the overwhelming endorsement of the BJP's policies and initiatives within the region. Since 2009, Unmesh Bhaiyyasaheb Patil has consistently represented the aspirations and interests of Jalgaon's electorate in the parliament.

Reflecting on the electoral history of Jalgaon, the 2014 Lok Sabha election saw A.T. Nana Patil of the BJP emerging victorious with 647,773 votes, establishing a significant lead over his closest rival, Annasaheb Dr. Satish Bhaskarrao Patil of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), who garnered 264,248 votes. With a total of 990,604 registered voters in Jalgaon, the voter turnout reached approximately 92.11%, showcasing the active participation of the electorate in shaping the democratic process. A.T. Nana Patil's victory margin of 383,525 votes in 2014 highlighted the BJP's formidable presence and support base in the constituency, setting the stage for subsequent electoral successes. AT Nana Patil, has held the MP seat since 2009.
