Narendra Modi continues to be the biggest draw for BJP's core base, with a huge majority of supporters saying they will vote for the Prime Minister in the Lok Sabha elections no matter who is on the ballot.
According to an opinion poll carried out by News18 ahead of Lok Sabha elections, 85% of BJP supporters said they will vote for the saffron party only because of PM Modi, irrespective of the candidate representing their constituency.
Only 11% of the BJP voters said that the party's candidate contesting from their respective constituency matters to them.
The survey, India's biggest opinion poll, covers a sample size of over 1.18 lakh eligible voters across 21 states and different demographic backgrounds.
According to the opinion poll, a majority of Indians have given a big thumbs up to the Modi government's performance in the last 5 years.
Nearly 80% of the respondents said they are "satisfied or very satisfied" with the performance of the Centre and PM Modi in the last 5 years.
The findings of the survey reveal that Brand Modi continues to be the biggest weapon in BJP's arsenal ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
