During the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, Narendra Modi remarked that even after a decade, the Congress failed to secure victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined his vision for the "next 10 years" of the NDA government during a large gathering of BJP and its allies in New Delhi on Friday. He emphasized that the alliance, which he described as the "most successful" in the country, would focus on delivering good governance, development, and an improved quality of life.

Here are the other developments of the day:

PM Modi outlines 'next 10 years' of NDA sarkar

During his comprehensive speech to NDA partners, PM Modi characterised the coalition's victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections as a "mahavijay" (grand victory), highlighting its significance in comparison to the performance of the Congress. He pointed out that in the 2024 elections alone, the BJP secured more seats than the Congress had collectively managed in the last three elections.

Congress leader mocks BJP-led NDA 3.0, calls it 'Naidu, Nitish Dependent Alliance'

Congress leader Pawan Khera launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA on Friday, labeling it as the "Naidu Dependent Alliance or Nitish Dependent Alliance."

Referring to the Lok Sabha election results in Maharashtra, Khera emphasised that the people of the state had responded strongly to the BJP. He criticised the alliance for its failure to secure a seat in Ayodhya and highlighted what he perceived as disparaging remarks made towards the people of Ayodhya. According to Khera, the acronym NDA now stands for "Naidu Dependent Alliance or Nitish Dependent Alliance."

Narendra Modi meets BJP stalwarts LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi before staking claim as PM for third time

Before staking his claim to form the next government for a third consecutive term, Narendra Modi, poised to become Prime Minister once again, met with BJP veterans LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi in Delhi. This meeting followed Modi's election as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party during a gathering in Delhi.

Congress could not cross 100 mark in 10 years, says PM Modi

During the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked that even after a decade, the Congress failed to secure victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

"Even after 10 years, the Congress could not reach the milestone of 100 seats. If we aggregate the results of the 2014, 2019, and 2024 elections, the Congress did not attain the number of seats that the BJP secured in this election. I can distinctly observe that the members of the INDI alliance were gradually sinking before, but now they are plummeting at an accelerated pace," he stated.

Lord Jagannath is God of the poor, says PM Modi at NDA parliamentary party meeting

During the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Friday, prominent allies put forward the name of Narendra Modi as the leader, clearing the path for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India.

In his address to the NDA parliamentary party, PM Modi emphasised the significance of Odisha as one of the nation's crucial growth drivers. "When I contemplate Lord Jagannath, I perceive him as the deity of the underprivileged. The transformative outcomes witnessed in Odisha, I firmly believe that with the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Odisha will emerge as one of the prime engines of growth in the country's developmental journey over the next 25 years," Modi stated.
