Tej Pratap Yadav Mahua election result 2025 Live: Tej Pratap Yadav looks set to lose the Yadav bastion of Mahua as LJP(RV)'s Sanjay Kumar Singh is now leading by 32,789 votes after 19 rounds of counting, according to EC data.

LJP(RV)’s Sanjay Singh has tightened his grip on the Mahua contest, stretching his lead to 19,174 votes after 13 rounds of counting. RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushan remains a distant second, while Tej Pratap Yadav continues to stay out of the frame.

LJP(RV) candidate Sanjay Singh has all but sealed the contest in Mahua, stretching his lead to 17,061 votes after the 11th round of counting. The gap now looks impossible to bridge.

RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushan is trailing at a distant second, while Tej Pratap Yadav has failed to break through the contest at any stage, slipping further out of the frame as counting progresses.

According to ECI data, LJP (RV) candidate Sanjay Kumar Singh has widened his lead over RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushan to 6,784 votes after six rounds of counting. JJD’s Tej Pratap Yadav is yet to cross the 5,000-vote mark as the contest in Mahua tightens.

Tej Pratap Yadav, JJD leader, has fallen further behind after the fifth round of counting. Sanjay Kumar Singh from the LJP (RV) has increased his lead over Mukesh Kumar Raushan of the RJD. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Singh is now ahead by 5,358 votes.

After the third round of counting, ECI trends show LJP(RM)'s Sanjay Kumar Singh comfortably leading with 10,301 votes. JJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav trails in fourth spot.

Mahua Election 2025 Result Live: According to early trends from the Election Commission of India (ECI), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate Sanjay Kumar Singh is currently leading in Mahua with 3,536 votes. He holds a lead of 1,409 votes over RJD's Mukesh Kumar Raushan, who is in second place with 2,127 votes. Tej Pratap Yadav from the Janshakti Janata Dal is in third place with 681 votes. Counting is still ongoing, and the trends are expected to change as more rounds are completed.

The ruling NDA crossed the half-way mark of 122, leading on 141 seats, early trends from PValue Analyst showed this morning. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan's lead narrowed from 69 to 65 seats as the NDA inched ahead in early trends.

In May 2025, Tej Pratap announced on Facebook that he had been in a romantic relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav for 12 years. He later claimed that his account had been hacked, and the post was subsequently deleted. Following this revelation, his father, Lalu Yadav, the president of the RJD, expelled him from the party for six years and disowned him, citing "irresponsible behaviour."

Tej Pratap Yadav was born on April 16, 1988, in Gopalganj. He completed his Class 12 education in 2010. His political career began in 2015 when he was elected to represent the Mahua constituency. In 2020, he was elected from the Hasanpur constituency. A two-time MLA, he served as the Minister of Health from November 2015 to July 2017 and also held the Environment portfolio.

This seat showcases the Yadav family's internal rifts. In 2015, Lalu's elder son Tej Pratap won with a 43.3 per cent vote share. But in 2020, he moved to Hasanpur, leaving Mahua to the RJD's Mukesh Kumar Raushan. This time, Tej Pratap formed Janshakti Janata Dal and is contesting from this seat. He is facing RJD's official candidate, Mukesh Kumar Raushan and Lok Janshakti Party's Sanjay Singh, presenting the NDA.

Tej Pratap Yadav (JJD): Once Mahua’s MLA, Tej Pratap is contesting from a new party banner, aiming to reassert his family’s political dominance. His campaign has focused on legacy, loyalty, and local connections.

Mukesh Raushan (RJD): The sitting MLA and RJD loyalist is defending the party’s traditional turf, banking on the INDIA bloc’s strength and welfare plank.
