The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services Mains Admit Card 2025 on its website upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have qualified for the UPSC CSE Mains 2025 can now download their hall tickets.

The UPSC Prelims 2025 was conducted on May 25, 2025, and the results were declared in June 2025. It is important to note that the Preliminary Examination was only a screening test, and the marks obtained in it will not be added to the final merit list.

This year, the UPSC aims to fill a total of 979 vacancies through this recruitment drive. Candidates must ensure they carry their UPSC Mains Admit Card 2025 along with a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport) to the examination center.

How to Download UPSC Mains Admit Card 2025?

Step 1. Visit the official website – upsc.gov.in.

Step 2. Click on the link for "UPSC Mains Admit Card 2025" on the homepage.

Step 3. Log in using your registration ID and password.

Step 4. Verify details on the admit card (name, roll number, exam date, etc.).

Step 5. Download and print the admit card for exam day.

Candidates must carefully verify all details, including their name, roll number, exam date, and exam center. After confirming the information, they should download the admit card and take a printout for future reference. Carrying a hard copy of the admit card to the exam center is mandatory.

UPSC Mains Exam 2025: Key Details

The UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination 2025 will be conducted on August 22, 23, 24, 30, and 31, 2025. The exam will be held in two shifts each day. The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

UPSC Mains Exam Pattern

The UPSC Mains examination consists of Paper A (Indian Language) and Paper B (English), both of which are qualifying in nature. These papers are set at the matriculation level, and the marks obtained in them will not be counted for the final ranking.

The main written examination includes papers on Essay, General Studies, and Optional Subjects, which play a crucial role in determining the final selection. Candidates must prepare thoroughly for these papers to secure a high rank in the UPSC CSE 2025.
