The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has officially revised the date sheet for the upcoming Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary) board examinations for the academic year 2025-26. The board has released a new timetable, marking important shifts in the schedule for several major subjects.

The most notable changes affect the Hindi paper for Class 10 and multiple language papers for Class 12. Students and educators are advised to take immediate note of the updated dates to ensure proper preparation and planning.

Revised Key Dates: What Has Changed?

According to the freshly issued MPBSE notification, the examination schedule has undergone specific alterations. The revised dates for some core subjects are as follows:

For MP Board Class 10 (High School):

The Hindi examination, originally slated for February 11, 2026, will now be conducted on March 6, 2026.

For MP Board Class 12 (Higher Secondary):

  • The Urdu and Marathi papers have been rescheduled from February 9 to March 6, 2026.
  • The Hindi paper will now be held on March 7, 2026, instead of its previous date of February 7.
  • All theory examinations will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM across all designated centers in Madhya Pradesh.

Examination Statistics and Guidelines

The MPBSE examinations are a massive undertaking, with over 16.60 lakh students expected to participate in 2026. This includes approximately 9.53 lakh Class 10 students and 7.06 lakh Class 12 students.

The board has also reiterated important protocols for a smooth examination process:

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must reach their respective examination centers by 8:00 AM. Entry will be strictly prohibited after 8:15 AM.
  • Hall Seating: All students should be seated in the examination hall by 8:30 AM.
  • Paper Distribution: Question papers will be distributed at 8:50 AM, followed by answer sheets at 8:55 AM.
  • Holiday Clause: Examinations will proceed as per the schedule even if a government-declared public holiday falls during the period.
  • Practical Exams: Practical examinations for regular students will be conducted at their own schools. Private candidates will take their practicals at assigned centers between February 10 and March 10, 2026.

The MPBSE has stated that while the current timetable is final, it reserves the right to make further changes if necessary, with notifications being issued through official channels. Students are encouraged to regularly check the official MPBSE website for the most current updates and to download their admit cards when released.

This revision in the MP Board date sheet 2026 provides students with adjusted timelines, particularly for language subjects, allowing for modified study plans. Educators recommend that students immediately align their revision schedules with these new dates to optimize their performance.
