Madhapar, a small village in Gujarat, India, has gained attention for its remarkable financial prosperity. This achievement is largely attributed to its substantial population of non-resident Indians (NRIs) who regularly send significant amounts of money back to their home village.

With over 1,200 NRI families, primarily residing in African countries, Madhapar has a wealth of fixed deposits totalling approximately Rs 7,000 crore. This influx of funds has enabled the village to develop a robust infrastructure, including modern amenities such as well-maintained roads, sanitation facilities, and educational institutions.

The strong connection between the NRI community and their homeland has been a driving force behind Madhapar's economic success. Despite living abroad, many villagers choose to keep their savings in local banks, contributing to the village's prosperity and development.

Beyond its financial prosperity, Madhapar is also known for its vibrant culture and strong community ties. The village is home to numerous temples, including Sanatan Thakor Mandir, Mahadev Temple, Barla Temple, Swaminarayan Temple, and the Yaksh Mandir or Jakh Bautera Temple. These religious sites play a significant role in the social and spiritual life of the community.

Madhapar's success story serves as an inspiration for other rural communities in India, demonstrating the potential of harnessing the resources and connections of NRI populations.
