The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Class 12 Business Studies exam for Commerce students today, February 22, 2025. The exam will start at 10:30 am and continue until 1:30 pm. Students must carry their admit cards to the examination centre, as entry will not be allowed without them. This year, over 44 lakh students are appearing for the CBSE board exams at 7,842 centres across India.
Last-Minute Tips for Business Studies Exam- Utilise Reading Time Wisely: Use the first 15 minutes of the exam to read the question paper carefully. This will help in recalling answers and planning how to attempt the paper.
- Case Study-Based Questions: Read case studies properly and ensure that answers are to the point and relevant.
- Comparison-Based Questions: When answering questions about differences, present them in a tabular format with a proper basis of distinction.
- Headings and Subheadings: Structure answers using headings and subheadings and elaborate as per the marks allocated to each question.
- Write in Points: As far as possible, write answers in bullet points instead of paragraphs for better clarity and readability.
- Maintain Writing Speed: Begin writing immediately when the answer writing time starts and manage time efficiently.
- Underline Keywords: Highlight important keywords using a pencil to make answers more structured and noticeable.
- Skip and Return Strategy: If stuck on a question, leave space and move to the next one. Attempt the difficult question later to avoid wasting time.
- Answer in Order of Difficulty: Start with easier questions before moving on to more challenging ones.
- Use Flow Charts: For questions on features or importance, use flow charts to present the answer effectively.
- Ensure Legible Handwriting: Write clearly and neatly so that answers are easy to read and understand.
- Stay Calm: If unable to recall an exact answer, take deep breaths, stay confident, and attempt to write something relevant instead of leaving it blank.
Important Exam Day Guidelines- Students are allowed to carry a transparent pouch containing a geometry or pencil box, ballpoint pen, gel pen, scale, eraser, analogue watch, writing pad, metro card, bus pass, and cash.
- Carrying the admit card is mandatory. Regular students must also carry their school ID card, while private candidates must bring any government-issued photo ID.
- Dress Code: Regular students must wear their school uniform, while private candidates should wear light-coloured clothing.
- The following items are not allowed inside the exam hall:
- Printed or handwritten materials, loose paper sheets, log tables, electronic pens, and calculators.
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, and cameras.
- Personal belongings like wallets, handbags, goggles, and pouches.
- Packed or unpacked food items (except for diabetic students, who can carry food).
Students must reach their examination centres well in advance to avoid last-minute stress. Following these tips and guidelines will help them stay prepared and perform their best in the exam.
