A major road accident took place early Monday morning on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Haryana's Nuh after the season’s first dense fog reduced visibility to dangerously low levels. Around 20 vehicles were involved in a massive pile-up that left four people dead, including two police officers, and injured nearly 15 to 20 others.
The accident happened at around 5.00 am when thick fog covered the expressway, making it difficult for drivers to see the road ahead.

According to a report by NDTV, the crash began when two overloaded dumper trucks collided with each other. Soon after, a truck carrying guavas, which was coming from behind, crashed into the already damaged vehicles.
The situation quickly became worse when the guava-laden truck overturned on the road. Large quantities of guavas spilled across the expressway, making the surface extremely slippery. Combined with poor visibility due to fog, drivers approaching the spot were unable to slow down in time.
This led to a chain reaction, with vehicle after vehicle crashing into one another. In total, around 20 to 25 vehicles, including trucks and cars, were involved in the accident.
Emergency services were rushed to the spot soon after the incident. Police teams, ambulances, and rescue workers worked together to help the injured and clear the road. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, where several are reported to be in serious condition. The bodies of the deceased were taken into police custody and sent for post-mortem examination.
Traffic on the expressway came to a complete standstill following the crash. After several hours of rescue and clearing operations, the road was finally reopened for traffic.
A similar accident took place on Sunday, when a major pile-up involving 35 to 40 vehicles occurred in the Meham area of Rohtak after a truck and a car collided at a highway intersection. Similar accidents were reported from Hisar and Rewari, where multiple buses and other vehicles crashed due to low visibility.
