Greater Noida is set for major traffic disruptions today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the third edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 at the India Expo Centre & Mart. The five-day event, running from September 25–29, will see participation from global industry leaders, with Russia as the partner country.

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police have issued a traffic advisory to help commuters navigate the expected congestion.

The UP International Trade Show is the flagship B2B and B2C event of the Uttar Pradesh Government. It showcases the state’s industrial progress and provides a platform for startups, exporters, and entrepreneurs to build partnerships and explore trade opportunities.

With the presence of PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, ministers, and business leaders, the event is expected to draw huge crowds, leading to significant traffic restrictions around Greater Noida.

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police have released detailed directions for commuters and attendees:

  • VIP Entry: VIP cardholders will enter via Gate No. 1 and park at Stellar Gymkhana.
  • General Visitors: Gates 3 to 6 will lead to drop-off areas, with parking at NASA roundabout. General visitors and police staff will park at NASA/Bada roundabout, which accommodates 8,000–10,000 vehicles.

For traffic-related assistance, commuters can call Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Helpline: 9971009001. Authorities have advised people to use metro services, plan journeys in advance, and allow extra travel time.

Why these restrictions are in place

The restrictions are due to the high-profile nature of the event and the large attendance expected. The UP International Trade Show aligns with India’s economic vision under Make in India, Vocal for Local, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and showcases advancements in manufacturing, technology, handicrafts, agriculture, and more. With Russia participating as the partner country, the event will also highlight global trade collaborations.
