Tata Motors today announced the introduction of the lifetime high voltage (HV) battery warranty for the Nexon.ev 45 kWh and the Curvv.ev. The benefit has been extended to the existing owners as well as new first-time buyers of the two electric SUVs.

The Nexon.ev has two battery pack options -- 30 kWh and 45 kWh. The Curvv.ev also gets a couple of battery pack choices -- 45 kWh and 55 kWh.

For reference, the warranty is only for the Nexon.ev 45 kWh variants. However, it applies to the entire Curvv.ev 45 kWh and Curvv.ev 55 kWh range.

While the Nexon.ev is priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom), the Curvv.ev sits in the price bracket of Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata first introduced the lifetime HV battery warranty for the recently-launched Harrier.ev. The flagship Tata electric SUV can be had in the price range of Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom).

"This new warranty not only supports the progressive development of long-term resale value for EVs but also complements the significant savings in running costs (estimated at Rs 8-9 lakh over 10 years)," the company said in an official statement.

Moreover, as part of an exclusive loyalty program for existing Tata.ev owners, the company will now provide a direct benefit of Rs 50,000 on the purchase of the Nexon.ev 45 kWh and the Curvv.ev.

The passenger electric vehicle (EV) portfolio of Tata includes the Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev.

Tata is the largest passenger EV manufacturer in India with sales of 13,495 units in Q1 FY26, as per data from the industry body Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). During the same period, the Nexon.ev-maker was followed by JSW MG Motor India, which sold 11,199 units with its electric car portfolio comprising the Comet, ZS and Windsor.
