The new Mini Convertible has been launched in India, priced at Rs 58.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the car, which has arrived as a completely built-up unit (CBU), begin immediately.
The new Convertible follows Mini's latest design language with a revised front grille, signature round LED headlamps with customisable light signatures, and vertically aligned LED taillamps at the rear. The car is offered in four exterior colours -- British Racing Green, Chili Red, Sunny Side Yellow and Ocean Wave Green -- paired with contrasting black or white mirror caps, depending on the configuration. A couple of 18-inch alloy wheel options, Slide Spoke 2-tone and Flash Spoke 2-tone, complete the package.
The fabric soft-top opens and closes fully in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30kmph. It also operates partially in a sunroof mode. With the roof open, boot space stands at 160 litres, increasing to 215 litres when closed.
The cabin adopts Mini's minimalist, new-generation layout centred around a circular OLED display. The system integrates instrumentation and infotainment functions and runs Mini OS 9, offering remote services, software updates, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and digital key functionality. A head-up display, Harman Kardon audio and wireless charging are standard.
Sport seats in Vescin upholstery, electric adjustment, Comfort Access, a toggle-bar control island and multiple storage points reflect the shift toward a more digital-first, uncluttered interior. The car also offers multiple Mini Experience Modes that adapt on-board lighting, graphics and audio themes for varied driving environments.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine producing 204hp and 300Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Convertible accelerates from 0-100kmph in 6.9 seconds.
Safety features include multiple airbags, ABS, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, brake assist, a crash sensor, reversing camera, tyre pressure monitoring and Level 1 ADAS comprising front collision warning, lane departure warning, attentiveness assistant and speed warning. Parking Assistant, cruise control with braking and high-beam assist also feature as standard.
The Mini Convertible gets a two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and 24x7 roadside assistance. Service packages begin at three years/40,000km, extendable up to 10 years/1,00,000km. Financing options through BMW India Financial Services include an assured buyback programme and monthly payments starting at Rs 58,500.
