Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has achieved a major milestone with its Activa range, which has now crossed cumulative sales of 35 million units in India. The Honda Activa thus becomes the first scooter in the country to reach this sales figure, underlining its dominance in the segment for over two decades.
The sales milestone has been cumulatively breached by the Activa 110, Activa 125 and Activa-i models. While the Activa 110 and the Activa 125 are still on sale, the Activa-i has been discontinued.
In terms of pricing, the Activa 110 and the Activa 125 start at Rs 74,369 and Rs 88,339 (ex-showroom), respectively.
Honda launched the first-generation Activa in 2001, marking its entry into the Indian scooter segment. Over the years, the Activa has been central to the evolution of India's two-wheeler market, particularly the scooter segment.

According to the company, the scooter's popularity is built on its focus on reliability, ease of use, fuel efficiency and low maintenance. The first 10 million Activa units were sold by 2015, followed by 20 million in 2018, and now 35 million in 2025, showcasing the continued demand for the scooter.
The company credited the Activa's success to its adaptability and consistent technological upgrades. It recently introduced the Activa and Activa 125 Anniversary Editions, aimed at offering a refreshed design and added features. The introduction of the electric variant, Activa e:, also marked a new chapter in the brand's journey, expanding its footprint into the electric vehicle (EV) space. The Activa e: is priced at Rs 1,17,428 (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
With an extensive dealer network across India, Honda said it has ensured easy access to sales and service for Activa customers. The scooter continues to be a preferred choice for families and commuters across age groups.
Apart from the Activa series, Honda's scooter range includes the Dio in 110cc and 125cc variants. Its motorcycle line-up spans the 100cc to 200cc categories, including models such as the Shine, Livo, Unicorn, Hornet 2.0, and NX200. The company also retails its premium range through BigWing showrooms, covering models from 200cc to 1800cc, including the CB350 series, NX500, XL750 Transalp and Gold Wing Tour.
