Hyundai Motor India has set up 119 public electric vehicle (EV) fast charging stations across the country as of August 2025. This is part of its plan to deploy 600 such facilities nationwide in the coming years.
According to the company, the network has delivered over 2.3 million units of electricity through more than 1.8 lakh charging sessions for retail and fleet users. The company estimates that this has helped avoid over 1.6 million kg of tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions.
The charging stations have been installed along key highways, major cities, and at Hyundai dealerships. Locations include Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, in addition to highways such as Delhi–Chandigarh, Delhi–Jaipur, Mumbai–Pune, and Bengaluru–Pune.
The charging network offers multiple configurations of direct current (DC) fast chargers, ranging from 30kW to 150kW. The company said most facilities maintain uptime above 97% and are equipped with CCTV monitoring, with marshals deployed at select locations during peak hours.
Hyundai has also partnered with charge point operators to expand access. Through its myHyundai app, customers can use more than 20,000 charging points across India, including both Hyundai's own and partner-operated stations. The app allows discovery, booking, and digital payment for charging.
In addition, the company has rolled out Hyundai Pay, an in-car payment feature that enables transactions for EV charging directly from the infotainment system. Over 1,200 charging points are currently integrated with this platform.
Hyundai is also offering optional home charging solutions with each EV purchase, with choices of 7.4kW or 11kW chargers, along with connected charging systems.
In Tamil Nadu, where Hyundai operates its manufacturing facility, the company has committed to installing 100 fast charging stations, with 16 already operational. The number is expected to reach 30 by the end of 2025.
Hyundai currently sells the Ioniq 5 and Creta Electric in India. Its EV retail footprint stands at 542 outlets across 238 cities.
India's EV charging network has been growing steadily, with Tata Power, ChargeZone, Statiq, and others also expanding their footprints. Hyundai's rollout comes as government and manufacturers accelerate efforts to address range anxiety and support wider EV adoption.
