Mid-size SUV buyers looking to close purchases before the end of the calendar year 2025 are being offered significant year-end discounts across several popular models. Benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh are currently available on vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
The original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) typically roll out year-end schemes to clear dealer inventory ahead of fresh despatches in the new calendar year. This year, the discounting activity in the mid-size SUV segment has also coincided with the arrival of the Tata Sierra, which sector experts believe could affect volumes of competing models.
Dealers are offering a combination of customer discounts, exchange bonuses, loyalty benefits and corporate schemes. When bundled together, these incentives take the total benefit to as much as Rs 3 lakh on select variants of the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, Elevate, Kushaq and Taigun.
Model-wise, the benefits vary across brands and powertrains. Petrol variants of the Creta are being offered with benefits of up to Rs 30,000. The Seltos carries year-end offers of up to Rs 1.18 lakh. The Grand Vitara has discounts of up to Rs 2.19 lakh, along with a complimentary five-year extended warranty.
The Elevate is available with benefits of up to Rs 1.76 lakh. Discounts on the Kushaq and the Taigun go up to Rs 3 lakh each, depending on variant and stock availability.
| Model | Year-end offers |
| Hyundai Creta (petrol) | Rs 30,000 |
| Kia Seltos | Rs 1.18 lakh |
| Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara | Rs 2.19 lakh + 5-year extended warranty |
| Honda Elevate | Rs 1.76 lakh |
| Skoda Kushaq | Rs 3 lakh |
| Volkswagen Taigun | Rs 3 lakh |
Among all these models, the demand for the Creta is so high that Hyundai rarely extends offers on it. Select Hyundai dealerships told Moneycontrol that they were offering discounts to the tune of Rs 70,000 from their end to clear the stock.
On the Seltos, the year-end offers are on the outgoing model, depending on availability. Kia recently unveiled the Seltos 2026, and its prices are set to be announced on January 2.
With regard to the Kushaq, the heavy discounts also precede the launch of the facelifted model in January.
The new entrant in the segment, the Tata Sierra, received over 70,000 confirmed bookings on December 16, the first day of bookings for the mid-size SUV. This was in addition to around 1.35 lakh customers submitting their preferred configurations for the new model.
The Tata Sierra price starts at Rs 11.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in seven trims -- Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished and Accomplished+.
