SpiceJet likely to post Q4 net loss at Rs 60 cr

As per CNBC-TV18 poll, SpiceJet's revenues are likely to go up by 35 percent to Rs 1,501 crore in the March quarter from Rs 1,113 crore Y-o-Y, despite industry passenger growth falling 1.5 percent Y-o-Y due to expansion in international segment.

Low-cost domestic carrier SpiceJet will announce its fourth quarter (January-March) results Friday. Analysts on an average expect the company to report a loss of Rs 60 crore during the quarter as against loss of Rs 249.17 crore in a year ago period due to lean season.


The loss will be narrowed significantly on a year-on-year basis due to higher load factors and stronger yields Y-o-Y.

However, revenues are seen going up by 35 percent to Rs 1,501 crore in March quarter from Rs 1,113 crore Y-o-Y, despite industry passenger growth falling 1.5 percent Y-o-Y due to expansion in international segment.


Also there was an addition in fleet from 41 in the fourth quarter FY12 to 52 in Q4FY13, which will have a positive impact on load factors.


Load factors are expected to remain strong at 78 percent as against 75 percent Q-o-Q despite lean season.


Market share of Spicejet improved to 20.2 percent as against 19.2 percent in December quarter.
