State-run NBCC reported a 12 percent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 68.28 crore for the quarter ended on September 30, on account of increase in revenue from operations. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 60.66 crore in the year ago period. Total income from operations during the July-September quarter of current fiscal rose to Rs 1,126.21 crore from Rs 910.94 crore in the year ago period, as per company's BSE filing.
During the quarter, the company has incorporated a foreign subsidiary NBCC Gulf LLC in Oman with having 70 percent stake in the subsidiary. It also formed a joint venture with Rajasthan government. National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) is a blue-chip government's Navratna enterprise under the Ministry of Urban Development.
The company's present areas of operation are categorised into three main segments, Project Management Consultancy (PMC), real estate development and EPC Contracting.
