Blue Star turns profitable in Q3, stock up 4% amid volumes

India's largest airconditioning and commercial refrigeration company Blue Star posted net profit at Rs 5.4 crore in the third quarter of fiscal 2012-13 as against loss of Rs 32.8 crore in a year ago period, sending shares 4% higher.

    India's largest airconditioning and commercial refrigeration company Blue Star posted net profit at Rs 5.4 crore in the third quarter of fiscal 2012-13 as against loss of Rs 32.8 crore in a year ago period, sending shares 4% higher.


    Net sales grew by 2.95 percent to Rs 593 crore from Rs 576 crore during the same period.


    Shares rose 2.35 percent to Rs 178.70 amid heavy volumes at 15:25 hours IST on Bombay Stock Exchange.
