Going all out against Modi on the last day of the campaigning in Gujarat, Rahul said, "The BJP is claiming that only one person is responsible for development of Gujarat and people of this state are not responsible for it. Modi is doing very good marketing." He added that Modi had been claiming that only he (Modi) was responsible for the development in the state.

While addressing a rally in Bhuj, he told the people of the state that no one talks about their dreams. Slamming Modi, he said, "Modi is doing politics of anger. My father, grand mother were killed - I have no anger. I have given up my anger."

In a continuing war of words, Rahul said, "The person who is running this state has anger. You can't run a state with anger." On Friday, Modi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi had locked horns over Sir Creek issue. Sonia alleged that a nervous Modi was using a long pending diplomatic tussle to raise local communal passion for electoral reasons.

The second phase of poll will be held on December 17. After huge turnout in the first phase, it is expected that this time too people of the state will arrive at the poll booth to caste their votes. The Election Commission on Friday informed that the first phase of the 12th Gujarat assembly elections witnessed a record 70.75 percent voting turnout in the 87 assembly constituencies spread across seven districts in Saurashtra and South Gujarat and four seats in Western Ahmedabad.
