Rajasthan govt signs 76 pacts worth Rs 319.8 crore

The pacts signed were under Rs 10 crore and will provide direct employment to 2,830 people in the state.

Ahead of the 'Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015' to be held this month, state tourism department signed 76 pacts worth Rs 319.8 crore with various private companies. The pacts signed were under Rs 10 crore and will provide direct employment to 2,830 people in the state. "These MoUs were signed as a precursor to the upcoming Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit. We aim to create an investor-friendly environment in Rajasthan by facilitating policies which will take Rajasthan on a global level," state tourism minister Krishnendra Kaur said here. "We will support all endeavours to rapidly execute the MoUs signed today," he added. The projects for which the pacts were signed will be implemented in next 2 to 3 years and the department will facilitate the projects to get the clearance or certification if required.

The projects range from hotels and motels to resorts and meditation centres, the minister informed.
