The price of LPG cylinder will, however, remain unchanged, said Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Veerappa Moily.

The government had on Wednesday sought permission from the Election Commission to hike the cap on subsidised cylinders as three states - Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland - will go to polls soon and the model code of conduct is in force.
