Revenues of the Indian telecom infrastructure industry plunged 2.52% to Rs 1,17,039 crore in 2010-11. Of them, carrier equipment manufacturers, such as Nokia Siemens Network, Ericsson, Huawei and ZTE, were the worst hit, reveals a survey by a telecom industry journal. Their consolidated revenue dropped 12.12% to Rs 58,294 crore during the year.
The study attributes this sharp fall in the carrier equipment segment to the security policy formulated by the government at the beginning of the year.
