Along with Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, Google is also expected to showcase a range of new and revamped products including the updated Home speaker, high-end laptop and updated Virtual Reality (VR) gear.

Here's a quick list of what you can expect from Wednesday's Google event:

New Pixel phones

Google is all set to unveil the next version of its flagship smartphone - Pixel. In fact, the technology giant may be unveiling two phones, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Some images leaked on social media show a revamped display for the two phones.

Pixel 2 XL is expected to be large and is expected to compete with Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

While the Pixel phones are not expected to do away with the bezel completely like its rivals Galaxy S8 and Apple's iPhone X, the phones will have a reduced bezel.

There have been reports that the new phones may not feature headphone jacks and may have stereo speakers.

According to the leaked image, the devices will have a search bar at the bottom, instead of its current position on top. You will be able to add minimalistic widgets to the home screen in place of the search bar.

Media reports suggest that Pixel 2 will release on October 19 while Pixel 2 XL will release on November 15.

New Home speakers

Reports in the media had previously carried 'leaked' images of Google's new Home Mini.

The device is the smaller version of the Google Home speaker and is expected to be priced at USD 50, putting it directly in competition with Amazon's Echo Dot. Amazon had recently revamped its Echo family of devices.

Some reports have also suggested a new Google Max stereo speaker. However, details of this product remain scarce.

Google Pixelbook

The Pixelbook is expected to be a new high-end Chromebook device.

The Chrome OS-running laptop is expected to be priced between USD 1,199 and USD 1,749 and is expected to come with its own range of accessories such as a smart pencil.

According to Droidlife, Pixelbook will be silver in colour and will come in with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.

Virtual Reality gear

Google's Daydream VR headsets are expected to get a revamp. The updated VR headset could come in three colours - charcoal, coral and fog - and could be priced at USD 99 against the current USD 79.
