Glenmark Generics settles patent lawsuit with Nycomed
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said its arm Glenmark Generics has settled a patent infringement dispute with US-based Nycomed over a generic version of Fluticasone Propionate skin lotion.

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said its arm Glenmark Generics has reached an agreement with US-based Nycomed to settle a patent infringement lawsuit related to its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) to sell generic version of Fluticasone Propionate skin lotion.Nycomed currently markets Fluticasone Propionate as Cutivate, and Glenmark plans to launch a generic version of the product in US. As per the agreement, Glenmark will be able to market and distribute its Fluticasone Propionate lotion under a royalty-bearing license from Nycomed in March 2012, or earlier in certain circumstances, Glenmark said in a notice to stock exchanges.Glenmark Pharma shares rose 3.1% to Rs 285.20 on the NSE.
