Hamas responds to Trump’s Gaza plan, says ready to release all Israeli hostages

Hamas stated that it is ready to release all Israeli hostages, alive or dead, under Donald Trump’s Gaza peace proposal, seeking an end to Israel’s war on Gaza and a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave.

The Palestinian group said it accepted some elements of Trump’s plan, including relinquishing power and releasing the remaining hostages, while other aspects require further consultation among Palestinians.

This comes after US President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Hamas, warning the group to agree to a peace deal with Israel by Sunday, 6 PM, or face what he described as “all hell like no one has ever seen before." Trump, who has been urging both sides to end the two-year-long Gaza war, said Hamas was being given “one last chance" to release Israeli hostages and halt hostilities.

“There will be peace one way or the other," he added.

This follows a meeting between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after which the White House released a 20-point framework that Trump described as a roadmap to end the war and establish Gaza’s post-conflict governance.

The plan calls for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and a phased transition to a new administrative structure for the enclave.
