Travelling in your 70s and beyond isn’t about slowing down — it’s about travelling smarter. Think flat pavements instead of steep climbs, leafy parks instead of chaotic traffic, reliable healthcare instead of uncertainty, and culture that’s easy to access without rushing.
With nearly three-quarters of families saying they wish different generations spent more time together, multigenerational trips are on the rise. So which cities make travel comfortable, safe and enjoyable for grandparents in 2026?
To find out, All Clear Travel Insurance company analysed 175 global cities across eight key factors: walkability and elevation, safety, healthcare quality, noise and light pollution, green space, cultural attractions per square mile, average annual temperature, and the percentage of accessible hotels.
