Now, with the launch of this immersive safari, the state is aiming to boost eco-tourism and bring this scenic destination the attention it deserves.

Known for its misty forests, rolling hills and postcard-perfect sunrise and sunset points, Netarhat is one of Jharkhand’s most beautiful spots — yet it has remained surprisingly low-key for years. The new Netarhat Jungle Safari, launched by the Jharkhand government, is set to change that.

The safari promises a deeper exploration of the region’s dense forests, cascading waterfalls, rich wildlife and untouched landscapes. With the Palamau Tiger Reserve close by, visitors can also expect sightings of rare species, all while experiencing the tranquillity of one of eastern India’s most scenic hill stations.

1. Sunrise Safari from Koel View Point: The first safari of the day starts at 5:30 am from the iconic Koel View Point, where travellers can take in a breathtaking sunrise over Netarhat’s hillscapes.

2. Waterfalls Trail: Expect stops at Upper Ghaghri Falls, Lower Ghaghri Falls, Tahir Falls, and the dreamy Sunset Point — perfect for photography and nature breaks.
