According to data from outage monitoring service Downdetector, reports of problems with Spotify began rising sharply in the afternoon. The platform recorded a peak of 48,777 user reports at around 2:15 PM IST, indicating a widespread disruption across regions. Downdetector collects real-time user feedback to identify unusual service activity or outages.
Problems users are facing
The majority of complaints, about 60 percent, were related to the Spotify mobile application. Another 24 percent of users reported streaming failures, while 16 percent had trouble accessing the Spotify website. Affected users said they were unable to play songs or podcasts, load their libraries, or log in to their accounts.

Spotify has acknowledged the ongoing issues with its streaming service. The company has dropped a post on X as well. The post reads "We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!".
