Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) has gone down as it faces severe server connectivity issues. Gamers on all PlayStation devices have been unable to log in or create new accounts. Sony has confirmed the global outage on its support page.

“You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,” reads the message on Sony PSN status support page.

Moneycontrol checked on Downdetector, a platform that tracks outages of online services, and the outage started around 6 am. Though the number of reports from India are relatively low, worldwide the number seems to be high, especially in the US.

According to several online reports, users have been unable to sign in to their accounts. Neither have they been able to create new accounts or edit account details on all PS platforms. These include the PS5, PS4, PS Vita and PS3.

Apart from the message on the support page, Sony hasn’t made any official comment on whether it is a minor glitch.
