    Oppo has officially begun the rollout of its latest custom Android skin — ColorOS 16, built on Android 16. The update is being released in phases, starting with flagship smartphones and extending to mid-range and budget models in the coming months. Alongside a refreshed interface, Oppo is introducing several AI-powered features aimed at improving personalization, multitasking, and cross-device connectivity.

    ColorOS 16 rollout timeline for India

    Oppo’s ColorOS 16 rollout in India will be divided across multiple phases. Flagship devices will receive the update first in November 2025, followed by select Reno and K-series models in December 2025, and other models between January and March 2026.

    ColorOS 16 key features

    Oppo’s ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, introduces a refreshed interface powered by the Luminous Rendering and Trinity Engine for smoother transitions and improved performance. The update brings AI-generated colour schemes, customizable fonts, and support for live wallpapers. The Always-On Display now offers full-screen mode with widgets and personalization options. The Photos app adds Portrait Glow for enhanced low-light portraits, while the built-in video editor enables trimming, speed control, and filters. Through O+ Connect, users can now link Oppo devices with Mac and Windows PCs for seamless file sharing, screen casting, and multi-device control within Oppo’s expanding ecosystem.
