Motorola is set to launch the Motorola Edge 50 smartphone in India next week. It is certified to be the world’s slimmest smartphone with MIL-810H standard and can withstand extremely high or low temperature, pressure, shock, vibration, pressure, dust, and salt fog, according to the company.
Motorola Edge 50: Launch date, availability
According to a post by Motorola on X, the smartphone will launch on August 1 and will be available on Flipkart. It will be the fourth addition to the Motorola Edge 2024 series after the Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra, and Edge 50 Fusion, were launched earlier this year.
Motorola has also shared a teaser of the upcoming Edge 50, with a triple rear camera unit. It is confirmed to be offered in three colours, which are Jungle Green, Pantone Peach Fuzz, and Koala Grey shades.
Motorola Edge 50: Features, specs
The Motorola Edge 50 will come with a 6.67-inch 1.5K 3D curved pOLED screen with 1,900nits peak brightness level and Smart Water Touch feature. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset with upto 256GB storage. The company has also confirmed that the phone will have RAM support. Further, it will support three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Edge 50 will be equipped with a 50MP Sony-Lytia 700C primary sensor backed by Moto AI features. The camera unit will also include a 10MP telephoto shooter and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, the phone is confirmed to get a 32MP sensor.
The Edge 50 will be backed up by a 5000mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
